Hydraulics are nice. I have a Mile Marker hydraulic winch on my '06 Dodge CTD.
The Ford with the auto trans is very similar to hydraulic. And I also have a MICO 4 way brake lock on it as well. I know Paul has converted some of his MU2 winches to hydraulic.
