I scored some very nice maple this year. A tree on my son's neighbor's property was damaged in the recent wind storm and they gave him the wood to give to me. We will end up with at least 2 cords of wood from this tree. I've been hauling it with the WDX. It's green and heavy, and I've never had the luxury of this much maple before, so I'm eager to see how it burns. Does anyone know if it puts out the same heat when it's green, or is it better to season it for longer than the three months I will have it drying?
