The frame flexes and twists. These movements can not be transmitted to a tightly mounted body. The Danish Military really subscribed to this. My Danish Military Power Wagon cab mounting system exemplified this. They used a 3 point mounting system. The 2 body mounts on the front of the body were on springs and only (1) one, center body mount was used on the rear. The rear center mount was a huge rubber isolator mounted on a heavy cross frame channel. This keeps the cab really isolated from the frame.
