These are/were coomon as airport snow blowers and for real snowfall removal on roadways. When I lived in Kitimat B.C., the District had a fleet of graders and Sicard blowers. Graders would plow from curb into the centre of the road and the blowers would come and put it alternately onto the front lawns, missing the driveways. In May, we would sledge hammer the iceberg and toss onto the road so we could mow the lawn. The blower had a driver for the truck and an operator for the blower and chute. The years I lived there, we had only around 40' snowfall with about 6 on the ground at any time over the winter. Lots of winter fun.
