At least for me, especially leaning over a fender. I need to verify that I got it right with the dwell meter.
The points might have slipped. But, you always have to remember that what you thought fixed the problem may not have actually been what fixed the problem.
Maybe, in the process of setting the points, you moved or adjusted something that actually (temporarily) fixed the problem like a loose wire or poor ground.
You're getting closer though.
