I drive my 66 WM300 on the highway all the time, true I had modifications done to it by Dan M. Engine Cummins 4bt, disc brakes 5 speed trans and 4.89 gears, drove it home from Dan's in Girard, Pa. to Onalaska, TX. in 4-days at 55-65 mph with nary a whimper.
I drive it work 3-4 times a week 96 miles one way with no problems other than a rear differential seal starting to drip, have ordered a new seal from Charles Talbert.
In 3 months I have driven the truck over 4,000 miles and love it.
