Good advice on shipping caveats.
For someone contemplating buying a truck I would advise:
A western truck with little to no rust, along with a careful choice as to shipping, would be the ideal. Even if the motor is stuck,or there is a chassis issue, the sheet metal is the "main thing" usually, along with a title.
Having both checked out many trucks in the east, and also restored an eastern truck, it is rare to find one that is not a rust bucket.
For my third truck project, I am utilizing a Colorado cab with almost no rust...should result in many many less hours of work and time is money as they say.
