This truck has been behind my grandmothers house for as long as i can remember...maybe 30 or 40 years. I went over on the neighbors property to check it out. Its a really interesting contraption. Im guessing it was used to drill water wells. It has a winch type mechanism on it and for the longest time o couldn't figure out what powered the winch. Today it hit me that the spinning wheel of the truck powers the winch. Its got a lever that engages and disengages it. Im assuming they would jack up the truck for the tire to spin freely. Im not real sure what the rest of the stuff on it was used for. Can someone give me some insight into what this was designed to do and what some of the other garb on there is for?
