Yes and I have found the taper on hydraulic fittings (37 degrees I think) works really well and usually does not require excessive torque to seal well. I have not had trouble with other fittings but this one is driving me nuts, I probably have over torqued it trying to stop the leak. I like the idea of a copper washer a lot and wonder if someone makes something? I guess I was initiallly thinking something like a teflon doughnut or something that would fit in the tapered area. I am looking for something cheap mostly because I am a little concerned that maybe the leak is coming the weld between the male fitting and the hydraulic cylinder (not my weld that is how the cylinder was made). I can't really tell since everything is oily at this point.
