Those are Signal Stat "SigStats". They are just a shade bigger than Signal Stats Acrystat line and were originally for large trucks as some states mandated the size of them.
My guess as to the mounting location is that they would be visible from both the front and rear. When mounted on the grill you can't see them from the back and on the fenders can be partially blocked as well. To each their own I guess.
The only brand "officially" correct for Power Wagons in the arrow signal line are Connecticut Telephone and Electric co. who later became Royson brand. These are shown in the Power wagon Parts manual as "official" dealer add on options.
Any period brand to me are acceptable as lots of folks added them and even dealers used different brands from what I have seen. Use what you like or looks best to you.
