The frame number on all Power Wagons was on the drivers side from 1946 to 1960. In 1961-1968 (and later export trucks) the frame number was on the passenger side. The serial number was on the frame and the big square tag in 1961-62. In 1963-66 the serial number was on a smaller second tag and the frame. If you are looking at a long string of digits on the large tag of a 1963-66 you are looking at the sales order number (S.O N.O.) and not the serial number.
If both the numbers you are looking at are serial numbers that means the cab was most likely swapped or at least the tag was.
