Serial Number

I have found a WM300 with the serial number stamped on
the right frame rail about where they are on most PWs on
the left side. Also the data plate on the left rear door jam
the serial number is not the same as the one on the frame.
The data plate does indicate it is a model WM300. What am
I looking at?
