and my hoses(lines)go down to the same area around the filter on the block one higher than the other which must be the feed to the filter and the other down lower to drain into the pan once filtered
filter in the below pic has a hose that goes all the way up to the front of the engine
on mine also there is a steel line that comes out of the same fitting that the stock hose with what i think you are referring to as a restrictor has in itthat goes to the oil pressure gauge
