i had hoses made up to fit the fittings on the canister mount which fit with reducers to fit the stock fittings in the block
so that is what that thing in the hose line into stock filter at the entrance to it is it
does it matter what size the hoses are they are 5/16 to fit the fittings on the spin filter mount
guess i can put it back in there somehow does it need to be anywhere special--like it was at the entrance to the filter
