After completing rebuilding the engine for my '49 civilian PW, I started it for the first time this weekend. It caught right away and idled perfectly - with great oil pressure too. It sounded so nice!

The only difficultly I'm having is that it doesn't want to rev up. It does rev up when I apply some choke, so it seems to not be getting enough fuel upon opening the throttle. I'm using the stock E7S1 carb. I suspect the vacuum operated accelerator pump or step-up system. I used the old spring on the accelerator pump since I've heard the new ones can be too stiff. I puled the top off the carb and everything seems to be OK, but it's hard to test these parts. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.
