if you keep them stock I recommend getting the shoes relined with Abex lining, then have them arced to fit, follow the adjustment procedure accurately and it will stop perfectly at any speed. if it doesn't then the adjustment is usually off. these are non servo brakes so adjustment is critical. Then if you want power you can ad a remote hydrovac booster like mentioned below. If you send me your shoes in flat rate box and give me your brake drum measurements I can get them relined in abex and arced to fit for 140 with free return shipping.
