Thanks for all the responses and input guys. With a 2" spacer my wheel centers will be 11-3/8" and the space between the sidewalls will be 7/8". Maybe I ought to have the spacers made 2-1/4" to give me a full inch between the tires.
With reference to the concept of unsprung mass, my truck is a factory dually with the Dana 70 axles. The axles seem VERY narrow with the wheels tucked way up under the center of truck anyway so my footprint isn't going to be inordinately wider than it was with the 7.50s on it. In other words, i should be well under my springs, correct?
