I'm out on a limb here, but I replaced this fitting on my '54 PW several years ago. The fitting was still available from an appliance repair store. I took both my gauge and the line to the service department, and they fixed me right up. Try a store that services gas appliances. I vaguely remember it to be a breakaway compression fitting. No flare, just the fitting on the straight cut tube.
