Yes gmharris, they did make a front mounted pump directly from the manufacturer on a ffpw. The most popular front pump was made by Barton American. Many fire manufacturers used the Barton front pump. However Darley also made a front pump. It was controlled from inside the cab, very unusual. van pelt also had a front pump with their name embossed on it..however that was ghost built for them by the BERKLEY company. I have photo proof of those pumps on original trucks.
