Bob, you may know better than most of us what it is like to be caught in the middle of this - I don't want to say argument, or even disagreement - let's just call it a misunderstanding or miscommunication.

If I were in the market for $15,000, $20,000, $50,000, or up Power-Wagon that was faster, more comfortable, safer, and more aesthetically pleasing that what I currently drive, I would not be disappointed. There are a lot out there to choose from. People do some very nice work and I believe the prices reflect that. However, if I were in the market for a restored Power-Wagon, in any price range, I would probably be very disappointed. I have seen only two or three examples in the past 40 years that I would be comfortable trying to sell by claiming them as being "restored".

I have never been to the type of event that judges vehicles by a system that deducts points for items, conditions, options, or vintage that falls outside of what the vehicle would have been like when it rolled off the assembly line, but I understand why guidelines such as those exist. The sellers and buyers of Power-Wagons have no system specific to the trucks to refer to.
