The first thing I'd do is check to make sure the VIN plate and the frame number match and the production number and the body tag are correct? Maybe, it actually does have a 251 in it, and maybe a frame from a later truck too.
I guess some people don't care. Looks are most important. But, I'd rather take that money and buy three or four (if I really wanted three or four) nice original un-restored trucks. And, I bet five years down the road that the un-restored trucks turn out to be a better investment, if you can call spending $79K on a FFPW an investment.
On one of the car shows recently, a guy brought in his un-restored survivor Vette for auction. He thought he might get about $200,000. He got $800,000.
