While in the military one of my assignments was working in a vehicle recovery section. In the three years time that I worked this assignment, the one thing I learned was, if I had the choice between flat towing and trailering, I would prefer trailing.
There are a couple of reasons for this. Like it takes the guess work out of what the towed vehicle will do while going down the road.
The bottom line is, whether you flat tow, or trailer something, you have got to know what you are doing, and like Dirty Harry said, "You have to know your limitations", and the limitations of your equipment.
