do not drive it! What is probably happening is the voltage reducer has failed and you are getting too much voltage to the fuel gauge and the temp gauge. the temp gauge pegs out and the fuel gauge reads a bit too high with this condition. If so both gauges will be fried in a short time. I believe on 66 Dodge trucks the reducer is built into the fuel gauge. If not then it is an external unit you can still buy on ebay.
