Late 1945 calendar year is the 1946 model year.

Dodge used letters back then to show the years. T = 1939. V = 1940. W = 1941-1947. Since the entire run of trucks from 1941-1947 are W series I can't explain the meaning of WDX without covering that whole era. W doesn't equal 1946-47 even though the PW was only made in 1946-47.
