My thoughts is that I would not want a "momentary" switch. I would want it to shut down and not have the chance to start back up.

If you press the button and happen to get knocked off your feet or your finger slip's off the button and release the button; you have the potential for the engine to start back up if it is still rotating.

Only you know best as to what situation you want to avoid.
