I did say it was a 64' bellhousing that fit both the poly and LA-318 engine. As I said, I could not say for sure about the one that came out of the 60' truck with 230 L-head still attached. The 64' BH came out of a D-100 w/318 poly and 3spd tranny w/column shift. It had hyd.slave cyl.actuated clutch fork as does the BH out of the 60' D-100 that had a 230 w/ NP420 tranny.
I had heard once there was a change, but I wasn't sure. I do not know what year they changed to gear reduction starters but, the 64' still uses the older style with diff. bolt pattern. I've just been trying to find out if the newer Magnum 318 still has the same eng. to BH bolt pattern as the LA-318?
