Three years ago I had the same opportunity on a '61 brush FT. I would describe it much the same way as you described this one, but it had a little more. I paid $6,800 and just got it at that bid price.
For that price I got a truck that I've been able to enjoy and drive these last few years. It's been a kick in the ass...I love it.
My advice....buy it.
I'll repeat some wisdom that I got off of this forum. "Sheet metal is worth it's weight in gold".....the mechanicals you can find easily enough.
