Norm, some of the car and truck bells I'm sure were the same, as the '60 318 that I am planning to use in my '45 was in a '60 D100 w/factory cast iron Torqueflight. I originaly pulled the engine out of my folks' '60 Dodge Dart Pioneer 4 door w/Powerflight and it bolted right up to the pickup bellhousing.

As an extra point of curiosity (to me, at least), I have a cast iron truck bellhousing that not only bolts right up to my old 318s, but it has extra bolt holes and dowel pin holes for the flathead six and I have tried it on an old 230 in my shed and it's a perfect fit. It is set up with slave cylinder on the passenger side and has at least two sets of transmission holes. I have forgotten what I took it out of more than twenty years ago, but perhaps you might be able to tell me what the casting numbers indicate. On the passenger side on the front surface are the numbers: 1799592-1. Centered just below that no. are letters CWC and then smaller nos. C189. It has a 5 1/16" bearing retainer hole and the mount pads on the bottom rear are at a 45 degree angle. Any words of wisdom on what this came from would be helpful and appreciated, thanks.
