I bought one ('49) at VPW for that price two years ago-I got: A good runner but I had to drop and clean the tank, it was running from a 1.5 gal tank on the fender. No Brakes, I had to do them myself. Solid cab, solid front fenders. rear fenders wrinkled and rusted, bed sides had rust holes where the wood used to be, I had to cut and do metal replacement, there was no wood in the bed-just a big hole. I had to patch the stake pockets and fabricate the rear stake pockets-too rusty to save. A new tailgate was included. All the mechanical stuff was OK. Wiper motors had to be rebuilt, I had to put new glass in most windows and replace the windsheild. All of the guages and electronics worked with some cleaning-except for the dead regulator. The seat was junk-I replaced it with a Dakota bench seat. I had to get a set of tires. My first thought was what a piece of ____! But it has worked out OK, I just didn't know what the things went for, and my new home made diamond plate bed is great-no wood to fuss with!
