I have a 1940 Dodge VD-15 truck with a 230/250/265 flathead six block that mated directly to a Clark 5 speed. The entire power train bolts directly to the original mounts. The transmission to bellhousing to engine mounts appear to be unmodified. The standard engine for the VD-15 was the slightly shorter 218 flathead six. I don't have the engine number from the VD-15, but I can try to get it this weekend and maybe someone can translate what it came from. I don't know if the 5 speed is direct or OD in 5th either because there are no tags.
