Fred, your emphasis on stewardship, not ownership of Power Wagons is certainly accurate. Reversible modifications are an excellent idea. The Flat Fenders are unique trucks, made in a unique era. They will never be replaced. The introduction of Hummers driven buy housewives is a cheap ( but not in price) GM imitation of Dodge's innovation after WW II. To my fellow PW owners, I agree, its your truck and you're entitled to do whatever it takes to keep it functional and safe, but whenever possible, consider keeping it as original as possible for our next generation of Power Wagon owners.
