I have a 53 Flatfender with a stock pintle hitch. I need to install a receiver that will take a range of trailer balls (1 3/4 to 2 1/2 inch)and adjustable to different trailer tongue heights. It needs to be able to support a 10K lb flatbed trailer, a 31' travel trailer, a 2.5T military trailer, and a tow bar used for ocasionally dragging projects home. I'm guessing the max tongue load is 750 to 1k lbs at any one time. I am looking at the Reese, Draw-Tight, or U-Haul frame mounted style and wondering if anyone has installed something similar without serious modifications on the original PW frame or bed? What make/model did you end up buying and how difficult was it to install (welded or bolted?)? Thanks!
