Wheel Cylinder Question

Hopefully I explain this correctly…
I just purchased 2 new wheel cylinders for the front of my ’49 B1. I received my new cylinders from Trader John’s (good deal and GREAT folks!) last Thursday and immediately began the examination. Everything is identical EXCEPT that the backs of the new cylinders have a recess (~1/64” deep x ~3/4” dia.) around the hole that the brake line would attach. The original wheel cylinders are flat. I thought that this is a minor detail until I went to install the brass (not-sure-what-you-call-it, but it’s the brass piece that sits between the wheel cylinder and the flex line from the axle allowing the flex line to exit towards the rear of the truck). The brass piece is larger than the recess and I’m afraid that the copper washer won’t have enough “crush” to keep it from leaking.

Do I need to machine the back of the wheel cylinders flat (just like the originals)? Can I buy a thicker copper washer? Am I being paranoid, and just install it?

Sorry if I haven’t explained it clearly, I can snap some pictures tonight if more detail is needed.

Thanks in advance,
