Here in Iowa, all I buy is ethanol. Don't put it in an old dirty gas tank, as it will stir up the rust... It's 89 or 90 octane for the price of cheap gas. But I've been running it for the last 15 years in all the trucks I own with no trouble.
Recently, Texaco posted record profits for the quarter. And crude oil prices are the lowest they've been for a long time. The Surgeon General started asking questions and now they're dropping. Who figured?!
An oldtimer told me that sometime in the seventies, there were laws that kept big businesses from making too much of a profit on anything. I suppose they were similar to the monopoly laws. I wonder if they apply now? And I wonder if the profit laws should be brought back...
I don't remember much about the laws as I'm just a young guy, but what about the oldtimers on the forum?
