broken spark plug---Not in a power wagon

My cousin-in-law ( i know its out there on the family tree) broke a spark plug trying to get it out of a Honda civic he just bought. It is broke off flush in an aluminium head. He tryed a ez out (rectangular head) and it did not move. Is there anything else he try before the 10 hour remove the head deal gets implemented. I told him if it were on my M37 it would be a simple job. He found some humor in it. Thanks in advance jeff
