And I spot welded it together. The top donut is ply wood, dry wall screwed in.

Most guys use metal screw temporarily, then solder the joints. Or use short tek screws, and caulk? There are how-tos and calculators on the web.

But the calculations are the big thing to get it to work properly. The dust in the barrel at the bottom is so fine it flows like water, and the pan at the bottom of the filter only gets a tablespoon of talc in it. It's the best cyclone I ever had, after 20 years in the wood working business.
