I understand your hesitation to start sanding the final coat. I am an ameture, but I have painted a few cars and trucks at this point. I painted my P.W. with ppg delstar enamel with is a non clear coat paint it had lots of orange peel and dust, I took a deep breath and sanded it first with 1500, then buffed it it looked like a whole different truck I was well pleased. did I burn through in a couple places yes. but I touched them up and ultamatly you couldn't see them. THE BEST ADVICE IF YOU SAND THE FINL FINISH IS TO USE 1500 GRIT AND A SQUEGIE THE SQUEGIE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TOLL WHEN COLOR SANDING. Yes I had the cap locks on purpose
