Joan and I went to a restaurant in he next town over Friday night, about 8 miles away. It was a nice evening so I asked her if we could take Blueberry (my M-37)She agreed and off we went. Had a nice dinner and headed home. There is a 4 way stop a half a mile from my driveway. I got through that and was shifting up through the gears when she quit. Just plain quit, no bucking or shuddering just instantly not running. I kicked it into neutral and since the road to my driveway is flat, just coasted, My driveway is long, and about 150 yards to the shop. There is a short downhill at the head of the driveway, so I was able to coast right into my parking space inside the shop. Joan says, look at your gas gauge, you are out of gas. I look and sure enough, the gauge is flat on E. Hummm, I thought I had nore than that. Oh well, I will deal with that in the morning. So, yesterday I get in, and turn the switch on, the gauge jumps up to a quarter tank. I crank it over and it starts right up. Then I start thinking electrical, since the gauges are electric, that would explain a fuel gauge on E. I shut it off and went about my business. Today, I wanted to take it for a test ride. Turn on the switch, gauges all register, starts up, and I back out of my parking spot and get 20 feet. Truck quits, gauges all off. I reached up under the dash and jiggled some wires and the gauges came back, started up and took it for a ride. Then, I tried to jiggle them again to make id happen again and couldn't make the gauges go dead. So there is a gremlin to track down under the dash.
