70 years ago, this morning, the D Day Invasion took place. This was the largest amphibious assault the world had ever seen. The loss of life was staggering, as was casualties that suffered the rest of their life. This was the start in the Liberation of Europe, but in the future, untold ten's of thousands times 100 maybe more would die before Europe was free. Just think of the terror going on in the minds of those troops in the Higgins Landing Craft in the picture.

Why not take a minute in silence this morning to give thanks for all Allied troops
that hit the beaches of Normandy that terrible morning. And what this meant for us, 70 years later.
