Nick when the dial goes from 90-30 that's 40 thousanths of an inch the other side is 30 thousanths of an inch. Basically about the gap of a sparkplug. I don't think that is really acceptable runnout. I think when I got my hubs from Ray the runnout on the rotor flange was written on my hub with a marker, I think it was .004 and .006, of course the rotor flange has nothing to do with the wheel stud flange, but I'm just using it as a comparison. I still think .040 is a lot, I'm not sure why you can't actually see you're tire wobbling slightly when you spin the tire.
