You're ahead of me. I've got a few years on you, figured three or four years and I'd be done. I'm over five and just starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Honestly the time wasn't a bad thing. I've managed to accumulate parts over those years I never would have gotten had I worked faster. The delays and side projects allow my bank account time to recover from the last round of progress, and improve my work by allowing me to re-generate and re-focus. If you push yourself to finish you end up cutting corners you'll be sorry you cut later.

Honestly at this point my biggest problem with my project is just how much space it's taking up everywhere. I'd like to be able to use my garage for other repairs, and am getting tired of tripping over all the truck parts. It needs to start going together so it takes up less room!

But the 30 thing did feel more significant somehow, in some ways it helps to focus you, but at the same time remember that for people like us there is always another project. I somehow have this idea that I'll finish the PW and then relax. Then I start thinking about what I'd want to do next! So don't stress too much, enjoy the journey, it's the part that makes finishing so enjoyable!
