Alex,
You are not alone. Mine took a span of 13 years to complete and about 3000 hours. My "day" job is also demanding of my time. I worked 82 days straight this year and most were 10 hour days. Others probably do more than that if they are self employed.

You have to set small goals and take satisfaction in getting something, however small done. Paul told me to try to get at least one thing done every day, no matter how small. Don't get bogged down by the grand scale of the project. It also helps to have what your goal REALLY is so you don't waste time in redoing something later.

Life happens and I completely redid my house, built a large attached garage and built a shop as well. All taking time during that 13 years.

It's a hard fact but you might have to change how you use your free time. Watching a game, surfing the net, playing video games and such take a lot of time. I did some "adjustments" and got into a routine where it allowed me to get more done.

Going to shows and looking at others build pics helped me. Having my own build album also helped to keep me going. People at work would ask about it and it motivated me at times. Some were snide about it but it takes all kinds.

You just have to make time in some instances if you want to reach the goal. I know it is easy to say but I WAS in your shoes and it can be done.

Going to Iowa? I'll be there this year.
