Flat-fender originally was used to describe the early (late '20s and '30s) cars and trucks, like the '38 Plymouth or '34 Dodge truck. If you own one of them, you know if it's a WDX, WM300, B-1, B-2, B-3, C-1 or C-3, and would much rather call it what it IS, instead of a generic, general term. I own a B-1 and a C-3 myself, and I get asked about my "Army Jeeps", "Military Jeeps", or "Old Willys trucks" pretty often... and I never hesitate to correct those who ask. Flat fender or FFPW is almost as bad. Then again, I am sure the guys with Daytonas or Superbirds get rrreeeeaaaaalllly tired of hearing them called Road Runners. Haha.
