Where the steering column mounts to the frame thee is a cast iron housing that holds the worm drive gear and in this housing the steering mechanism is turned 90 degrees to stick out of your frame. There is an adjusting nut on this cast iron housing. Mine had already been adjusted and was worn out on my 62 so I had to get a refurb from Vintage.
