There's several designs of seals. Not all seal types can be used on every engine.

Before you try to replace the seal, check to make sure it is not an oil pan leak. The back piece of cork gasket will shrink with age and start to leak. It may look like you have a seal leak when it is actually the pan gasket. It's a good idea to pull the pan anyway.

Replacing a rear seal with the engine in place is not easy and is best done at engine rebuild time.

I believe replacing a bolt on seal requires removing the flywheel (and trans, etc.) At some point, given that you need to work on the valves and probably do other things, it may be best to just pull the engine.

You can get a good idea if it is the seal leaking by taking off the clutch cover and seeing if the inside of the bell housing is splattered with oil.
