I am working on the house of the widow of a hoarder. He died lat fall, and his widow is most definately NOT a hoarder. We had done work on the house before he died, and there were just little paths through the stuff inside the house. Anyway, after he died, she brought in a dumpster and started cleaning the place out. In addition to preparing for the end of the world, he was constantly buying tools. They were everywhere and not just one of something but sometimes 4 or 5 or more of the same thing. Well his wife was beside herself about the tools, not knowing what to do with them, so she and I worked out a deal for me to but them all from her. I have filled my truck 8 times so far and there is probably a couple more trips to go. I have spent every waking hour for the last 2 weeks sorting through all of this stuff in preparation for a town-wide garage sale which was yesterday.
So that is the backstory, here is the funny part. There were flashlights galore, and as I was going through them I found one with a recharging cord, so I plugged it in and charged it up. The next day I unplugged it and pushed the button and sure enough the light came on. Cool! Then I noticed a little sliding cover, what is that for? I pushed on it, now holding the head of the flashlight in my palm, I see a red button under the slider, The old "what does this button do?" was my undoing as when I pushed it I received quite a jolt of electricity, I hadnt noticed the 2 metal electrodes on the sides of the lense pressed nicely into my hand! Wowser! I was shocked both litterally and figuratively!
