The limiting factor is pump psi, and you ain't been messing with that. They make about 1,000 psi on a piston with about 10 square inches. No way you are overworking something made to handle 10,000 pounds of force. And vehicles do that every time they crank it over to the end stop in a parking lot.

Try backing off the adjustment screw on the back, about 1 turn. If that fixes the tight spot, try coming back in 1/2 turn.

I've had these boxes need 5-6 turns to adjust for wear, 1/2-1 turn will not be extremely loose.
