is narrow section of the drag link behind the the threaded area hollow or solid
seems to me you could cut it off behind the wider threaded area and thread notch and clamp it for a ffpw tie rod
this way the box and horizontal swinging pitman arm is behind the front of the tire and therefore all clear
this way the shortened drag link with the tie rod end is about the same length as the stock drag link
this mounts the box right in front of the front crossmember outside the frame and under the fender
this appears to be what this fellow did or similar
look where the box is
course this means you have to reroute the front shock on those ffs without wc style shock absorbers
