when i bought my command car in 1996 i took it to bob's. he and i completely disassembled it using his torch and an electric impact gun. he did the heavy work, the frame blasting and the gear work. a local painter did a large part of the metal work and floor replacement. dennis sherman did the body panel blasting. the command car tire disassembly was one of the best days we had together. hot august day. we took the bolts off all the rims without breaking any (maybe one) studs. bob proceeded to break down one tire. it took some time. after reconsidering our options, we delivered the remaining tire assemblies to a heavy truck tire shop. we went to a local bar and had the coldest draft beer i can remember and later went back and picked up tire free combat rims. he is a true craftsman, fabrication welder and gear mechanic!!! he straightened the twisted front bumper with a huge rosebud torch and hammer. it was a great way to spend a summer!!!
