Ha Ha. Aren't they all "just another cool toy"? I have a Mile Marker 12,000# hydraulic winch on my '06 Dodge, a Ramsey 10,000# pto winch on my '66 F350 4x4, a Braden LU2 on my W300, and the MU2 capstan on my WDX. I haven't used any of them in several years. Years ago I used to go into the woods and cut firewood. I used the winches then to drag logs out to the road. Lots of snatch block work, chaining the rear of the truck to another big tree, etc. I do intend to use the capstan on my place to move some small downed trees, rather than the cable drum.
I think a 4wheel drive, especially a Power Wagon, looks naked without a winch. :)
